Riverdale, NY - Manhattan softball will face Columbia in a single-game match-up on Wednesday, April 3 at Gaelic Park. The first pitch will be thrown at 4:00 pm.

Last Outing
Lauren Pitney (Ansonia, CT / St. Joseph's) recorded six RBI in the Jaspers' sweep of Morgan State at Gaelic on March 31, including a home run in game one that earned her 100th career RBI. Teammate Christine Gebhardt (Middletown, NJ / Middletown North) earned a team-high four runs against the Bears, and a slugging percentage of 1.167, also putting one over the outfield wall during the afternoon. Pitcher Kayla McDermott (Garnerville, NY / North Rockland) earned the 10-5 win in game one, while Jessie Rising (Little Egg Harbor, NJ / Pinelands) took the second win, 2-1. 

NCAA Rankings
Now 11-15 on the year (0-2 in the MAAC), the Jaspers rank in NCAA Division I's top 30 for team on-base percentage (.398). They are also 27th in doubles per game (1.65), led by freshman Annie Moore (Northridge, CA / El Camino Real), who ranks second in the nation in the category, recording .45 doubles per outing. 

Pitney ranks third nationally in walks per game (1.08), while also ranking fourth in on-base percentage (.598). Her slugging percentage of .783 is 51st in all of Division I, in addition to being the league leader.

MAAC Leaders
Manhattan leads the conference in six team categories: double plays per game, doubles per game, home runs per game, on-base percentage, scoring and slugging percentage. The Jaspers record 0.42 double plays per contest. They hit 0.46 home runs per game, scoring 4.73 runs per game. The team averages an on-base percentage of .398 and a slugging percentage of .420. 

About the Lions
Columbia (12-12, 5-1 Ivy League) is alone in first place in their conference standings. This week, the Lions' Alexa Pinarski and Maria Pagane were named to the Ivy League Honor Roll after going 2-1 against Princeton. Pagane hit .385 against the Tigers, going 5-11 in the series. Pinarski earned two wins from the pitcher's circle and earned a 2.33 ERA.
