Ann Arbor, MI – No. 23 Michigan defeated Manhattan 23-2 in the second of a four-game series at Ray Fisher Stadium.
The Jaspers fall to 4-11 while the Wolverines improve to 11-4.
Freshman
Keury Abreu (Bronx, NY / St. Raymond) led the way for Manhattan at the plate, finishing up 3-for-4 while classmate
Nick Cimillo (Airmont, NY / Suffern) and junior
Dominic Palma (Hilton, NY / Hilton) each had two hits.
Jack Blomgren was 5-for-5 with five RBI and four runs while Jordan Brewer went 3-for-6 with two home runs and seven RBI to pace the Michigan offense.
Karl Kauffmann struck out four while yielding six hits over 4.0 scoreless innings to earn the win.
The teams will continue their series on Saturday, March 16 at 3:00 pm.
