Riverdale, NY -  Manhattan women's basketball will welcome Marist to Draddy Thursday night in a MAAC rematch starting at 7:00 p.m. in Draddy Gymnasium.

The Jaspers (6-14, 4-5 MAAC) are looking for their fourth-straight win, a streak that began with an 18-point victory over the Red Foxes (16-7, 8-3 MAAC) on January 27 in Poughkeepsie.

Game Notes:

Last Outing
Manhattan overcame a 12-point second quarter deficit on February 3 to defeat Siena 52-48 in Draddy.

Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) filled in the entire stat line against the Saints, with game-highs in points (16), rebounds (nine), blocks (four) and steals (six, a career-high). After scoring four in the first half, Warley went on a tear in the third quarter, notching eight of the Jaspers 13 points in the period and helping Manhattan subtract its deficit to eight (43-35) going into the final 10 minutes. Freshman D'yona Davis (Bronx, NY / Truman) earned 12 points for Manhattan in the game, scoring seven-straight points in the fourth quarter to give the Jaspers a 46-45 lead at just under the four-minute mark. She totaled three assists and three steals on the day.

Wonderful Warley
Warley maintains her title as the MAAC's leading rebounder and shot blocker this week, now averaging 8.7 boards per game and 1.9 blocked shots. Against MAAC opponents, she's averaging 10 rebounds per contest. Warley sits at third in the league for steals per game (2.2), is 28th in scoring (8.1 points per game), and eighth in field goal percentage (nearly 43 percent per game). She ranks 28th in the NCAA for offensive boards per game (4.0) and 49th in blocks this season (37).

Rookie Three-Peat
After averaging a team-high 12.5 points per game this past week, Davis earned her third MAAC Rookie of the Week honor this past Monday. This is the fifth time a Manhattan player has earned the weekly award so far this season. Davis has scored in double-figures in each of the Jaspers' last four games. This week, she broke into the MAAC's top 30 individual scoring list, sitting at 30th with 7.9 points per game.

Taitt's Great
Sophomore guard Lynette Taitt (Irvington, NJ / Bishop Loughlin) has scored in double figures each game since leading Manhattan with a career-high 20 points against Marist on January 27. Facing Siena on February 3, Taitt finished with 11 points and added seven boards and five steals, a new career-high. She also went 5-8 from the free throw line, going 3-4 over the final minute to help Manhattan secure the W. She is averaging 13.7 points over the last three games.

Defensive Prowess
Manhattan continues to hold opponents well under 60 points per game, now at 57.6 for scoring defense, good for second place in the MAAC and 36th in NCAA Division I.

About the Red Foxes
Marist leads the MAAC in scoring offense with 68.4 points per game, shooting a MAAC-high 42.4 percent from the floor and 35.9 percent from three as a team. The Red Foxes are led by Rebekah Hand with 17 points per game, and Alana Gilmer with 15.8. Gilmer is the MAAC's best three point shooter, hitting nearly 42 percent of her shots from beyond the arc.

At 8-3 in the MAAC, the Red Foxes sit in third in the league, their three loses coming from Quinnipiac, Rider and the Jaspers.

Previous Meeting
The Jaspers defeated then second-place Marist 69-51 on January 27 in Poughkeepsie. It was Head Coach Heather Vulin's first win against the Red Foxes, and the Jaspers' second-largest margin of victory this season.

Taitt put in a career-high 20 points at Marist to lead all scorers. She went 6-9 from the floor, including 2-2 from three, and went a perfect 6-6 from the foul line. To add to her career night, Taitt nabbed a game-high four steals. Junior forward Julie Hoier (Aabyhoej, Denmark / Marselisborg Gymnasium) added a career-high 16 points to the Jaspers' offense, going a near-perfect 5-6 from the floor. Hoier got the job done on the boards as well, pulling down nine. Davis rounded-out the Jaspers' double-digit scorers at Marist, adding 13 of her own on the afternoon. She also contributed a game-high (tie) three assists.
