Quinnipiac remains undefeated at 13-0, improving to 18-6 overall. The Jaspers drop to 7-17 on the year and 5-8 in the MAAC.
Highlights:
- With three treys in the third quarter, Lizahya Morgan (East Hartford, CT / Capital Preparatory Magnet) scored a game-high 13 points for Manhattan, going 4-7 from three-point range. Morgan's four threes ties her season best earned against Siena on January 11.
- Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) earned a game-high 12 rebounds, bringing her season average to 8.9 boards per game, and 9.9 against MAAC opponents. With seven offensive rebounds against the Bobcats, Warley now has 97 for the year, earning the seventh spot on the program's single-season offensive rebounding list. She needs seven more to move into the top five.
- Manhattan pulled down 44 rebounds as a team, the seventh time this season the Jaspers have recorded 40 or more rebounds in a single game. The team out-rebounded the Bobcats by 10, including 17-11 on the offensive boards.
- The Jaspers were hampered by poor shooting in the first half, going just 2-12 in the first quarter and 0-12 in the second. Manhattan was held to six points in the first 20 minutes, while Quinnipiac jumped out to a 18-point lead.
- Manhattan opened the second half with a 12-8 advantage, including six from Morgan. Shooting 63.6 percent in the third quarter, the Jaspers would cut the lead to 14 halfway through the period, before Quinnipiac extended it back to 23, helped by a buzzer-beater three from Edel Thornton.
- Six Jaspers scored for Manhattan in the fourth, totaling 15 points to go along with 14 rebounds. Quinnipiac held just a two-point advantage in the quarter, but staved off any attempts by the Jaspers to close the gap.
- Quinnipiac earned a 24-8 edge over Manhattan in the paint. The Bobcats also converted 25 points off Manhattan's 25 turnovers, the second-highest TO performance of the season for the Jaspers.
- Aryn McClure scored 12 for Quinnipiac, while Taylor Herd and Paula Strautmane added 10 each.
- Quinnipiac tallied 13 steals in the game, the second-most against the Jaspers this season.
