Manhattan moves to 6-20 on the year and 3-10 in the MAAC. Quinnipiac improves to 9-12 and 5-7 in conference.
Highlights:
- Menocal hit .259 in the match, her second-best hitting performance of the season. Her 19 kills are also the second-highest total of the season for the Jaspers.
- Vivian Donovan (Newport Beach, CA / Newport Harbor) tied her season-high of 15 kills on Saturday, hitting .156. She made it a double-double with 15 digs and added three aces from the service line.
- Setter Abby Wilde (Parkesberg, PA / Octorora) finished the match with 45 assists, a career- and match-high. She bested her previous high of 42 assists, earned in five sets against Fordham on September 18.
- Erin Hoener (St. Louis, MO / Incarnate Word) led the match with six blocks, helping Manhattan to a 9-3 block advantage against the Bobcats. With 191 career block assists, she is now tied for ninth place on the program's all-time list. Her 56 career solo blocks also moves her to eighth all-time on that list.
- Libero Nashally Eleutiza (Orlando, FL / Monroe) totaled 30 digs in the match, just one off her career-high. Her 30th dig of the day was also her 400th of the season.
- The Jaspers hit .207 as a team on Saturday, their best five-set attack percentage of the year.
- Manhattan hit .353 in the first set, and .290 in the second. The Bobcat comeback began in the third set, when Quinnipiac put together a .310 attack percentage to win it 25-15.
- Olga Zampati had 16 kills for Quinnipiac, followed by 12 apiece from Gabby Horman and Morgan Sherwin.
- The previous match between the two teams also went five sets, with Manhattan taking the victory in Hamden.
The Jaspers will host Fairfield Sunday, November 3 at 1:00 pm. It will be Manhattan's final home match of the season and the team will honor senior Ginamarie Napoli (Elmsford, NY / Maria Regina) in a ceremony before the match.
