Shelby Jones (Greenville, NC / Junius H. Rose) scored her first collegiate goal, but it wasn't enough as Manhattan dropped a 3-1 decision to MAAC-leading Monmouth at Hesse Field.
The Hawks opened the scoring in the ninth minute when Dana Scheriff found the back of the net off a Lauren Karabin pass.
After halftime, Maddison Perna and Lexie Palladino stretched the lead out to 3-0 with back-to-back goals, before the Jaspers dented the scoreboard in the 88th minute.
Sophomore
Olivia Maldonado (Babylon, NY / Babylon) fired a shot that was turned away by Amanda Knaub, and Jones deposited the rebound into the net.

* Monmouth posted advantages in shots (19-3), shots on goal (10-2) and corner kicks (11-3).
