Riverdale, NY - Manhattan posted a dominating 3-0 win over Siena by scores of 25-11, 26-24 and 25-23 in collecting its second-straight victory at Draddy Gymnasium.
Sophomore Julia Menocal (Bronx, NY / Preston) rapped out 13 kills, on .250 hitting, to lead a Jasper team that hit a blistering .351 on the day.
Manhattan took control of the match with a dominating 25-11 win in the opening set, thanks to off a set-changing 16-2 run. All told, the Jaspers hit at a blistering .529 clip, highlighted by four Vivian Donovan (So., Newport Beach, CA / Newport Harbor) kills, while not recording a a hitting error to go along with three combined blocks from junior Meagan Miller (Oakville, Ontario / Oakville Trafalgar) and freshman Kelly Markowski (Winter Park, FL / Lake Highland Preparatory School).
The second set was a back-and-forth affair that featured 18 ties and six lead changes, before Manhattan registered a 26-24 victory, as Menocal fueled the Jasper effort with six kills.
In the third set, Manhattan pulled out another two-point win behind a balanced offensive effort that saw Menocal (4), Donovan (3) and Miller (3) combine for 10 kills.
Junior Erin Hoener (St. Louis, MO / Incarnate Word) followed up on her 20-kill performance against Saint Peter's with six kills, on .667 hitting. Freshman Julieanne McKee (Poughkeepsie, NY / Spackenkill) was outstanding with 28 assists while Donovan added seven kill and eight digs to round out the top statistical performers for the Jaspers.

Manhattan improves to 5-16 and 3-6 in the MAAC, while Siena is now 8-10 and 4-4 in the league.
The Jaspers will look for their third-straight win against Marist on Sunday, October 20 at 1:00 pm.
