Riverdale, NY -
In a rematch of last's year MAAC Championship match, Manhattan gave Monmouth all it could handle before dropping a 1-0 overtime decision at Gaelic Park.

The Hawks were able to come away with the victory when Dana Scheriff put the ball into the net with just 17 seconds remaining.

Monmouth improves to 7-3-1 and 2-1-0 in the MAAC while Manhattan falls to 1-5-2 and 0-2-1 in the league.

Scheriff's goal came after junior Camryn Nici (Seaford, NY / St. Anthony's) made an impressive save on Lexie Palladino's shot, but the ball was unable to be cleared in allowing the visitors to pick up a hard-earned victory.

Nici was outstanding in goal, making a career-high four saves in just over 54 minutes of action, spanning the first half and overtime. Junior Olivia Printy (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL / St. Joseph Academy) also was solid between the pipes, making three second-half saves.

The Jaspers did an outstanding job defensively, applying heavy pressure when the Hawks tried to attack the center of the field. Unfortunately, Manhattan was unable to penetrate a stout Monmouth defense that allowed just one shot on goal.
