Match Notes:
- Saint Peter's (2-13) has already improved on their 2017 record with two wins during the team's non-conference season. The Peacocks first outlasted NJIT in five sets on August 25, then beat Lafayette in four at the Leopards' home arena two days later.
- Saint Peter's dropped its first two conference matches of the year this past weekend, falling to Fairfield in three sets and Quinnipiac in five after taking a 2-1 lead in the match.
- Freshman Alanis Alvarado leads the Peacocks with a total of 155 kills and 171.5 points, while Karla Seda has 198 digs in 15 games.
- Manhattan went 2-0 against Saint Peter's in 2017, defeating the Peacocks in straight sets at Draddy Gymnasium, and in four sets when the Jaspers visited Jersey City. The last time the Peacocks beat Manhattan was October 24, 2009.
- The Fairfield Stags sit at 3-8 so far this season, but are still undefeated in the MAAC, going 2-0 this past weekend. In addition to beating Saint Peter's, Fairfield also topped Rider in a comeback win after going down two sets to the Broncs.
- The Stags recently swept the MAAC Weekly Awards, with Mayda Garcia winning Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, Taylor Rudeen earning Libero of the Week, and Alexis Rich winning her first-ever MAAC Rookie of the Week selection.
- The Quinnipiac Bobcats are 2-10 on the year, with wins over Coppin State and Saint Peter's. They are 1-1 in conference, losing to Rider in straight sets on September 15.
- Sophomore Morgan Sherwin leads Quinnipiac's attack with 119 kills so far this season (2.77 per set). On the defensive end, sophomore Gabby Horman has tallied 35 blocks for the year to pace the Bobcats.
- Sophomore middle blocker Erin Hoener (St. Louis, MO / Incarnate Word) leads Manhattan in both kills (50) and blocks (26) this season. She's earned a season-high 11 kills twice this year (vs. Coppin State and at Fordham) and averages a team-high 1.47 kills per set.
- Senior libero Alyssa Rehrer (Lorton, VA / South County) ranks fifth in the MAAC for digs per set (4.13). Her career dig total of 1,205 puts her at eighth all-time at Manhattan, following seventh-place Allison Lind (1,237) who played for the Jaspers from 1993-96.
