Riverdale, NY – In its final non-conference weekend of 2018, Manhattan wraps up a three-game homestand with two afternoon games against La Salle and Wagner on Friday, March 16 and Sunday, March 18, respectively.
Friday's game, originally scheduled for 1:00 pm, has been rescheduled for 2:00 pm. Sunday's matchup is still slated for 1:00 pm. Both contests will have a live video stream, courtesy of the Jasper Sports Network. In addition, live stats will be provided.
LAST WEEK
In their only game of the week, the Jaspers posted a wire-to-wire victory over first-year program Wofford on Saturday, March 10 at Gaelic Park for the team's first home win of the season.
Senior Sarah Lang led the way for Manhattan with four goals and two assists. The Manhattan defense shut out the Terriers in the first half, the first time an opponent was held off the scoreboard in almost four years.
HEAR FROM THE JASPERS
In case you missed it, Lang as well as junior Emma Kaishian spoke to the Jasper Sports Network about the win and the team's recent play.

RELAY FOR LIFE
On Sunday against Wagner, the team will host its Relay for Life game. Donations will be accepted at a table set up by the entrance of Gaelic Park before the game. The student-athletes and coaching staff will also wear purple pre-wrap in support of the charity.
MILESTONE MARKERS
Four Jaspers achieved important career records in Saturday's game against Wofford. Junior Molly Fitzpatrick became the 19th Jasper in program history to reach 100 points in her tenure. She achieved the mark with a first-half assist on sophomore Deb Peifer's first career goal.
Freshman Alaina Burgess also notched her first collegiate goal with a strike in the second half. Finally, on Manhattan's final goal of the afternoon, senior Kara Hodapp registered her 50th career goal.
CLIMBING THE LADDER
Fitzpatrick now has 102 points in her career with the Jaspers, which puts her 18th all-time. With a strong showing this weekend, she can move up a few spots on the all-time points list:
15. Nora Jacquette (2001-2004) 107 points
16. Stephanie Ranagan (2013-2016) 105 points
17. Lauren Cirardi (2004-2007) 103 points
18. Molly Fitzpatrick (2016-Present) 102 points
LOCKING DOWN ON D
Since February 24, Manhattan has allowed fewer goals each time out on the field. In the past three games, the Jaspers have outscored their opponent 31-22. During that span, goalkeeper Nikki Prestiano has made 37 saves and compiled a .649 save percentage.
NO REST FOR THE WEARY
Friday's game is the first of three games within an eight-day span for the Jaspers.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS
La Salle is 2-4 on the year, most recently dropping an 8-4 contest to local rival Temple on Monday afternoon. The Explorers, who were picked sixth in the A-10 preseason poll, beat Marist and Vanderbilt this year, the latter of which was receiving votes at the time.
Friday marks the second all-time meeting between Manhattan and La Salle. In last year's inaugural battle, the Explorers defeated the Jaspers 13-7 in Philadelphia. Fitzpatrick and Hodapp recorded two goals each, while junior Caitlin Murphy and sophomore Emily Sandford collected scores as well.
Manhattan is 1-2 all-time against A-10 opponents. However, Saint Joseph's is the only other A-10 opponent the Jaspers have played.
SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
Wagner heads into Sunday's matchup with a 3-3 record, most recently falling to UMass-Lowell 11-9 last Sunday. The NEC voted the Seahawks as the second-best team in the conference in the preseason. Earlier in the year, Wagner lost to MAAC-foe Iona 11-10 in New Rochelle.
The Jaspers and the Seahawks square off for the 21st time ever and the first time since 2015. Manhattan's last win against Wagner came in 2011 in Riverdale.
ON THE HORIZON
Manhattan opens up MAAC competition with a three-game road swing. The team treks to Buffalo on Saturday, March 24 to face two-time defending champion Canisius at 11:00 am.
