Manhattan falls to 1-5 on the season, while the Rams improve to 5-4.
Highlights:
- Taitt's career day on the offensive end improves on her previous career-high of eight earned at Iona last year. She went 6-7 from the floor and 3-3 from the free throw line, while adding four rebounds and two assists.
- Tuuli Menna (Helsinki, Finland / Mäkelänrinne Sports High) nabbed another career scoring high, hitting 10 for the Jaspers. She set her previous high of nine last week against Detroit Mercy. She added five rebounds against the Rams on Saturday.
- Manhattan held the lead for more than 24 minutes of the game, starting out with a nine-point scoring run in the first. After a 13-13 first quarter, the Jaspers and Rams found themselves deadlocked at 35 going into the locker room at halftime.
- Manhattan exploded to an eight-point advantage, the team's largest lead of the game, halfway through the third quarter, with Taitt scoring four points in the run. The Jaspers held the Rams to just nine points in the period, scoring 12 of their own to take a 47-44 lead into the fourth quarter.
- The Jaspers were unable to contain Fordham's reigning A-10 Player of the Week Bre Cavanaugh in the final 10 minutes. She went 4-7 from the floor for 12 fourth-quarter points, helping the Rams recapture the lead.
- With 3:38 to play, sophomore Sini Mäkelä (Helsinki, Finland / Mäkelänrinne Sports High) buried a jumper to give the Jaspers a 56-55 advantage. Manhattan would hold the lead until the 1:29 mark, when Cavanuagh hit a three to put the Rams up 61-60. Manhattan would be unable to take the lead back before time expired.
- Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) led Manhattan with seven rebounds, all on the defensive boards. Fordham held a slight 31-27 rebounding advantage on the day, but Manhattan capitalized on second-chance points, earning 10 to the Rams' six.
- The Jaspers committed just 13 turnovers, their lowest TO performance of the season.
- Manhattan went 11-12 from the foul line, the team's best performance at the charity stripe this season (nearly 92 percent).
- The Jaspers shot 44.4 percent for the game, including a 71.4 percent second quarter, where the team went 10-14 from the floor.
- Cavanaugh was named MVP of the Battle of the Bronx.

Manhattan returns home on Tuesday, December 4 to face Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. The Jaspers will then host the 2018 Manhattan Classic, a three-team round-robin tournament featuring Drexel and Wright State starting Friday, December 7.
