Riverdale, NY - Manhattan women's basketball returns home after a two-game road stint to host the Stony Brook Seawolves Saturday, November 17 at 2:00 p.m. The contest will air live on ESPN3.
Saturday's game will be the team's Sports Jersey event; all fans wearing a sports jersey to the game will receive free admission. In addition, children are invited to stay post-game for a Junior Jasper Clinic and autograph session with the team.

Manhattan (1-2) nearly erased a 21-point deficit against UAlbany November 14, using a 20-8 fourth quarter to bring the Jaspers within one possession of taking the lead from the Great Danes. But time on the Jaspers' run eventually ran out, and the Great Danes walked away with the 60-54 victory.

Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) netted a career-high 19 points against UAlbany, including 11 fourth-quarter points. The scoring streak was the second time in two games that Warley has scored 11 points in the fourth quarter. She also pulled down 12 boards for Manhattan, tying her career-high set last season.
Meet the Seawolves
The Seawolves (1-1) are coming off of their first win of the season, as the team took down Hofstra 77-49 in its home opener on November 13. Stony Brook was selected to finish tied for second in the preseason America East poll, while senior Shania Johnson was named to the America East Preseason All-Conference Team. She leads the team in points per game (14.5), assists (15) and steals (six) so far this season.
Last Meeting
The Jaspers opened the 2017-18 season at Stony Brook on November 11, 2017, losing to the Seawolves 74-59. Manhattan finished the first quarter up 20-17, but the momentum shifted in the second, as Stony Brook outscored the Jaspers 19-9 and held the lead for the remainder of the game.
Gabby Cajou (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland) had 11 points in the game, including an NBA-range three as time expired in the first quarter of play. She added three rebounds, three assists, and a steal.
Series History
The Jaspers are 3-2 all-time against Stony Brook. The teams first met during the 1999-2000 season, the Seawolves' first at the Division I level. Manhattan took that game 79-66, as well as the teams' second meeting on November 24, 2007, at Draddy Gymnasium, when the Jaspers won 74-68. Manhattan's third win against Stony Brook came on December 15, 2008, with the Jaspers outlasting the Seawolves 70-60.
