Match Notes:
- Manhattan (1-18, 1-7 MAAC) defeated Siena in three sets on Sunday, with freshman Vivian Donovan (Newport Beach, CA / Newport Harbor) notching a career-high 16 kills in the match. Donovan is averaging 3.0 kills per set in MAAC play, while adding 14 aces, both team-highs in conference.
- Freshman setter Shruti Mangipudi (San Ramon, CA / Dougherty Valley) has come on strong at setter for Manhattan in the past two matches, including a career-high 36 assists against Marist on October 6. Her 5.40 assists per set average so far this season ranks her 10th in the MAAC.
- Libero Alyssa Rehrer (Lorton, VA / South County) totaled 18 digs against the Saints, helping Manhattan to a 52-32 dig advantage in the match that was key to the Jaspers' win. Rehrer has earned double-digit digs in Manhattan's last four matches, and she is averaging 4.27 digs per set this season, ranking fifth in the league.
- St. Francis Brooklyn stands at 5-14 on the year and 1-5 in the Northeast Conference. The Terriers' match at Manhattan will be their second MAAC match of the season, having taken Rider to five sets on September 4, eventually losing 3-2.
- The St. Francis attack is led by sophomore opposite hitter Ally Speweik, who has tallied 159 kills so far this season (2.57 per set). Junior opposite Sidney Colvey follows close behind with 114 kills (2.65 per set). Colvey has recorded 10 or more kills is four matches this season.
- Since defeating the Jaspers 3-0 on September 23 in Hamden, CT, Quinnpiac (3-14, 2-5 MAAC) has lost three straight MAAC matches. The Bobcats took both Fairfield and Niagara to five sets, before losing in three to Canisius on October 7.
- Quinnipiac put together a hitting percentage of .314 in their first match-up with Manhattan, including a .469 opening set. The Jaspers were able to hold Quinnipiac to .156 hitting in the second, in what proved to be a nail-biter of a set that included five lead changes and 10 tied scores, but ultimately went to QU. The Bobcats took the match 3-0.
- Reigning MAAC champion Fairfield (8-10, 7-2) dropped its first two MAAC matches of this season this past week, losing to both Canisius and Niagara in three-sets, the Stags' first MAAC losses since the 2015 season.
- In the Jaspers' first meeting with Fairfield on September 22, Sonja Radulovic had a match-high 14 kills for the Stags, aided by teammate Emily Schillinger with 11. The Stags totaled a .261 hitting percentage on the day vs. Manhattan's .126.
