Iona notched its first MAAC win of the year the last time out against Fairfield by a 3-2 count after giving Rider and Siena everything they could handle in one-goal setbacks.

Bri DeLeo's team-best matching second goal of the year in the 105th minute.

The Jaspers' win over the Purple Eagles was the 30th for the senior class.

Manhattan is 29-0-2 over its last 31 matches when scoring first, dating back to the 2014 season.
Nici In Net
Junior
Camryn Nici registered her second-straight shutout victory with a five-save effort against Niagara and paces the MAAC with a .909 save percentage and is second with a 0.45 GAA en route to registering a 2-2-0 record.
The Jack Mattsson Foundation
After the Niagara game, a check was presented for $7,000 to the Jack Mattsson Foundation. Mattsson, a longtime friend of Taylor, was a 19 year old college student who had just finished his freshman year at college when he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer, before passing away last October. The foundation supports cancer research, helps patient families with financial support and works with schools to promote anti-bullying programs. Click

In the Jaspers' 1-1 draw with Fairfield, Perez scored her first goal of the second half to help secure a 1-1 draw. Painilainen and Healy assisted on the play while DiGregorio made seven saves in goal
Interesting
Manhattan has won 21-straight against Saint Peter's and is also now 2-0-2 over the last four seasons vs. Fairfield after going 2-22-3 in the teams' first 27 meetings.
Ah The Sunshine State
In the Jaspers' thrilling 2-1 win at Jacksonville, Doerr scored the game-winning goal off a feed from Copping in the 87th minute. After the Dolphins opened the scoring in the 79th minute, Reis tied it up in the 81st minute while setting the stage for Doerr's heroics.
UNF Match Canceled
Manhattan had its match at UNF canceled due to inclement weather in the Jacksonville area. It marked the first cancelation since a snowstorm didn't allow the Jaspers and Rider to play on October 30, 2011.
Hogan Lights The Lamp
Freshman
Kaitlyn Hogan scored her first career goal in the home opener against Hartford while sophomore
Shelby Jones notched her first career assist on the play.
DeLeo Finds The Back Of The Net
DeLeo scored her first goal of the year and the second of her career in Manhattan's 1-1 draw with Binghamton.
Non-Conference Noise
The Jaspers played five non-conference games against schools from three leagues. Manhattan squared off with La Salle and Fordham from the Atlantic 10, Hartford and Binghamton from the America East and Jacksonville from the Atlantic Sun.
Preseason All-MAAC
Saul and Montefusco were each named to the preseason All-MAAC squad after each notching All-MAAC honors a year ago. Saul broke out in a big way as a junior, tying for the MAAC lead with nine assists to go along with four goals. Saul also scored a point in 11 matches while ranking ninth in the league with 17 points. Montefusco established herself as a top scoring threat, finishing third in the MAAC with nine goals and fifth with 21 points. She also garnered MAAC All-Tournament accolades after scoring two goals in a semifinal victory over Quinnipiac, including the game-winning score.
The Senior Class
Saul, Copping, Doerr, DiGregorio, Reis, Naessig and Taylor have helped Manhattan to a solid 30-29-9 (18-12-7 MAAC) record and the Jaspers' first two trips to the MAAC Finals over their first three-plus seasons on campus.
Second-Year Standouts
DeLeo, Harwood and Perez all garnered MAAC All-Rookie Team accolades in 2017 with Harwood also garnering All-MAAC Second Team honors.
Jaspers Tabbed Fourth
Manhattan was selected to finish fourth in the annual MAAC preseason poll.

Led by Painilainen, an Arizona transfer, the Jaspers have six new faces on the roster in 2018.
