Riverdale, NY – Having already tied the program mark for wins in a single season, the 2018 Jasper men's soccer team aims to establish a new record with its 11th victory of the year on Saturday, October 13 against Marist.
Kickoff takes place at 7:00 pm in Poughkeepsie, NY. The Red Fox Network will air a live stream of the game, and the athletic department will provide live stats using the above links.

Junior
Milan Devuyst deposited his own rebound just 21 seconds after regulation to seal the win over the Broncs. The goal was the Belgian's first in a Jasper uniform.
Classmate
Marcellin Gohier had three saves in his sixth clean sheet of the season, matching his individual mark from last year. Gohier is matched with Andy Hlushko '83 for the most shutouts in program history.
Lovin' Eleven
- Manhattan is seeking its first season with 11 wins.
- The Jaspers have reached the double-digit win plateau for the fifth time in program history, joining the 1977, 1980, 1990 and 1991 programs.
- There have now been three instances where Manhattan has had back-to-back seasons with nine wins (1977-78, 1990-91, 2017-18).
The Big 1-0
- Half of the 10 wins this year were 1-0 outcomes, including all three MAAC victories.
- In each of those victories, all of Manhattan's goals came in the second half.
- Thanks to steady goalkeeping and a swarming back line, the Jaspers have held opponents to an average of less than eight shots in those contests, recording 12 saves.
National Prominence
- Manhattan continues to occupy a place in the top 10 of the United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll as it is in for the sixth consecutive week, ranking ninth.
- The Kelly Green and White maintain their national pace in wins (T-4th) and shutouts (T-5th).
- Manhattan also remains ranked in the top 20 nationally in team goals-against average (ninth at 0.606), team save percentage (13th at .830) and shots per game (16th at 14.9).
- Gohier's six shutouts are tied for seventh amongst NCAA Division I netminders.
Conference Ranks
- Manhattan is the only team in the MAAC that has yet to allow double-digit goals this season and as the best scoring margin in the conference.
- Sophomore Berti Fourrier remains the conference leader with his five assists and 40 shots.
- Gohier's MAAC-best 0.59 goals-against average is over 91 points lower than the next keeper.
Scouting Report: Marist
- The Red Foxes are 5-4-2, with a 4-1 MAAC record that has them in third place, one spot ahead of Manhattan.
- Marist is riding a three-game winning streak after defeating Iona, Siena and Monmouth in the past 10 days.
- In 2018, the Red Foxes have taken down #17 Pacific 1-0 and tied #12 Fordham 1-1.
- Sophomore Allen Gavilanes headlines the Marist attack, scoring four goals and adding two assists on the season. Gavilanes was named the MAAC Preseason Player of the Year and added to the 2018 Men's Mac Hermann Trophy Watch List after he collected the 2017 MAAC Rookie and Offensive Player of the Year awards.
- The last time these two foes met, Manhattan overpowered Marist 5-0 on September 30, 2017 at Gaelic Park. Senior Lucas Da Silva added two scores, while fifth-year senior Troy Carrington, senior Callum Carsley and sophomore Brandon Joseph-Buadi chipped in with goals.
