Brooklyn, NY - LIU Brooklyn defeated Manhattan 1-0 in non-conference action at LIU Field.

In defeat, the Jaspers conclude non-conference play with a 2-4-1 record while the Blackbirds improve to 1-5-1.

Jenn Peters scored the lone goal of the match in the 25th minute when she lofted a kick over the head of junior Kelly DiGregorio (Centerreach, NY / St. Anthony's).

Manhattan would battle the rest of the way but was unable to dent the scoreboard.

Senior Erica Modena (Massapequa, NY / Massapequa) recorded six shots but was denied each time in her attempt to net the equalizer.
