Riverdale, NY - Binghamton defeated Manhattan 1-0 in non-conference play at Gaelic Park.

The Jaspers fall to 1-4 with all four setbacks coming by just one goal as the Bearcats improve to 2-1-2.

In defeat, freshman Olivia Printy (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL / St. Joseph Academy) was outstanding in recording a career-high matching six saves, including making a pair of outstanding stops in the second half.

Leighann Bennett scored what would prove to be the lone goal in the 49th minute with a blast from 20 yards out on the left side off a nifty pass from Jocelyn Acor.

Despite having just five shots, Manhattan attacked most of the second half but was unable to find the back of the net.

Five different Jaspers recorded shots with sophomore Annie Doerr (Pittsford, NY / Our Lady of Mercy) notching the lone shot on goal.

Katie Hatziyianis made one save to earn the win for Binghamton.

Manhattan returns to action at Fordham on Sunday, September 4 with first kick slated for 1:00 pm.
