Riverdale, NY - Alex Fehmel scored five goals to lead Fairfield (8-8; 4-4 MAAC) to a 13-8 win over Manhattan (4-13; 0-8 MAAC) in the season finale for the Jaspers at Gaelic Park.

Senior Kaitlyn Cunningham (Spring Lake, NJ / Red Bank Catholic) and junior Darby Nolan (Oak Ridge, NJ / Jefferson Township) each scored two goals to pace a Manhattan attack that saw six different players find the back of the net.

The Stags opened the scoring with three-straight goals before senior Claire Roediger (Katonah, NY / Somers) hit paydirt with a one-timer off a nifty pass from classmate Megan Yarusso (Brewster, NY / Brewster). Cunningham followed with her first goal of the contest on a free position shot to trim the deficit to 3-2 with 20:44 to play until halftime.

Over the next 16 minutes the teams would trade goals, culminating withh Cunningham's second score to make it a one-goal game at 6-5 with 4:44 to go in the first half.

Julieanne Mascera broke the script with two-straight goals in giving Fairfield an 8-5 lead with 27:05 to play in the second half.

Freshman Molly Fitzpatrick (Yorktown, NY / Lakeland) quickly brought the Jaspers to within two at 8-6, finding the back of the net after collecting an errant shot in front of the net.  Unfortunately, that would be as close as Manhattan would get the rest of the way.

The Stags ripped off three-straight goals in jumping out to a five-goal lead en route to posting the aforementioned 13-8 victory.

Alex Fehmel led all players with five goals to lead the way for Fairfield.

Freshman Emma Kaishian (Yorktown, NY / Yorktown) paced the defense with three caused turnovers while collecting a team-high four draw controls. Classmate Nikki Prestiano (Cortlandt Manor, NY / Yorktown) also had a solid game, making 11 saves between the pipes.

Chelsey Sidaras earned the win for the Stags, making seven saves.
