RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan men's and women's swimming and diving teams dropped a dual meet to Iona in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, the men fall to 3-1 on the season while the women move to 3-2.

The junior also swam the key third leg of the 200 medley relay in 23.63 to help the squad earn a top finish in the race.

Shields earned the lone first place finish in a distance event for the Jaspers, racing to a 4:57.07 in the 500 free.

On the women's side, the coaching staff highlighted sophomore Alexandra Hutzler (Miller Place, NY / Miller Place) and freshmen Klaudia Nagrabska (Belmont, MA / Belmont) and Megan Pagano (LaGrangeville, NY / Arlington) as Co-Performers of the Meet.

Hutzler touched in a 1:01.11 in the 100 butterfly to take first place in the event.

Nagrabska and Pagano also swam to strong times, placing second in a series of races. Nagrabska swam the 100- and 200 breaststroke events in times of 1:13.79 and 2:48.50, respectively. Pagano took second in the 100 backstroke with a 1:03.68.
