RIVERDALE, N.Y. ? Jamal Barney scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds to pace Loyola's 58-54 MAAC win over Manhattan Friday night before a nationally televised audience on ESPNU at Draddy Gymnasium. Chris Smith scored seven of his team-high 11 points in the first half for the Jaspers.
Loyola (7-12, 2-5) made 9-19 3-pointers, including 6-12 in the second half and the Jaspers shot just 1-12 from distance.

The final 3-pointer came from sharp-shooting junior guard Brett Harvey who scored all 13 of his points and made 4-8 field goals in the second half.
Loyola led 56-49 with 1:11 remaining ? the largest lead of the game for either team ? before the Jaspers rallied. After Antoine Pearson made the second of two free throws, Brandon Adams and Jamel Ferguson converted back-to-back layups to cut the Greyhounds lead to 56-54 with 27 seconds to go.
