The Gaels responded with four straight goals over the next 13 minutes to take a 4-3 lead, and looked to carry the momentum into the break, but Civardi took advantage of a free position attempt, scoring the equalizer with
Helen Kerrisk and Tinari scored a goal apiece to cut the deficit to 10-7 with 8:55 remaining, but Iona scored three of the next four goals to open up a 13-8 lead with under three minutes remaining. Tinari (assisted by Carman) and Jillian McGowan (assisted by Psillos) scored in the final two minutes to provide the final margin.
