Morse eluded a Marist defender one-vs-one after receiving a pass from Courtney Hughes, and beat the Red Foxes keeper to provide the winning margin in a game that was huge for
Marist scored the game's first two goals, finding the back of the net in the 30th and 55th minutes, with Kate Fox recording both tallies.
The second goals seemed to wake up the
Alicia DeFino tallied seven saves while picking up her sixth win of the season. She currently ranks second on the
"After Marist's second goal, we could basically see our season fading away," commented head coach Sean Driscoll. "But Courtney Hughes, as a senior, brought us back from the dead, and led us to a great comeback. We changed our formation up in the second half, and that really opened things up for us in what was a high competitive, and very emotional and passionately played match."
The Lady Jaspers return to action next weekend, closing out the home portion of their schedule with two MAAC matches.
