Piscataway, N.J. (March 15, 2006)- The Lady Jaspers could not overcome a quick start by Rutgers, falling to the Scarlet Knights, 13-7, tonight at the RU Turf Field. Brenna Tinari tallied four goals, and Ashley Devins tallied 18 saves for Manhattan.

The Scarlet Knights came out of the gates fast, scoring four goals in the first 5:44 of the game. The Lady Jaspers answered right back, as Tinari carried the Manhattan offense with a three goal spurt of her own, with Jenny Carman providing the assist on the middle goal.

After the teams exchanged goals, Rutgers scored the last goal of the first half and the first goal of the second half to open up a 7-4 lead.

Tinari scored her fourth of the game, with 23:29 remaining, but the Scarlet Knights scored six of the games final eight goals to pull away for the win. Alicia Psilos scored one goal and assisted on Molly Pheterson's goal for Manhattan.

Rutgers held a 43-19 advantage in shots and 21-12 in groundballs.

Manhattan gets back in action on Sunday, March 19, traveling to Fairfield, Conn. to take on Sacred Heart at 1:00 p.m.
