Washington, DC (March 5, 2005)- Kristin Gelsleicter and
Jillian Medea combined to allow just one run as the Lady Jaspers downed Colgate, 3-1, at the GW Colonial Classic this afternoon.
Gelsleichter went the first four innings, allowing two hits while striking out three for the win, and Medea went the final three innings, allowing just one hit and striking out five for the save.
At the plate,
Erika Kostik went 2-3 with a two-RBI single and
Stefanie Gozdziewski went 2-4 with an RBI double to pace the Manhattan attack.
The Lady Jaspers get back in action on Sunday, March 6, when they continue play in the GW Colonial Classic against the host school at 10:45 a.m.
