Hamden, CT (September 12, 2004)-Women's soccer kept the Bobcats scoreless in the first half but could not get the shutout in the second half allowing two goals. The win improves Quinnipiac's record to 2-4 this season, while the Jaspers fall to 0-4.
Quinnipiac kept the pressure on the Lady Jaspers the whole first half of the game. However, the Bobcats couldn't get any shots past Lady Jasper junior goalie
Kiera Fox and the game went into the half scoreless.
The scoring began in the 51st minute when Bobcat Leandra Price took a feed from Kirsten van de Ven and beat freshman goalkeeper
Alicia DeFino. Quinnipiac closed out the scoring in the 80th minute when van de Ven set up teammate Hoffir Samuelsdottir for her second assist and goal of the game increasing the Bobcats lead to 2-0.
Fox and DeFino each had four saves for the Jaspers, while Bobcat keeper Sarah Luster recorded one save.
The Lady J's return to action next when they travel to Hartford, CT to play the Hartford Hawks on Friday, September 17 at 7 p.m.
