Former Manhattan College standout Michael Alvarado is in his third year with the Jaspers and his first as an Assistant Coach.
Alvarado spent the last two years as a Special Assistant to Head Coach Steve Masiello.
Prior to his appointment, Alvarado played professionally in Puerto Rico for two years following his graduation from Manhattan.
During his time with the Jaspers from 2010-2014, he earned a pair of All-MAAC honors, scored 1,170 points and ranks sixth in school history with 159 steals and seventh with 363 assists. As a senior in 2014-2014, he helped lead Manhattan to 25 wins and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
Alvarado earned his bachelor's degree in communications with a specialization in broadcasting with a minor in management.
