2014: As a sophomore, he started all 16 games for the Jaspers...Coates McDowall recorded 73 saves and picked up 3 clean sheets on the season...he concluded the year with a .760 save percentage and a 1.38 goals against average...was a MAAC All-Academic Team selection.

2013: Coates McDowall enjoyed a successful rookie season in Riverdale...he made 70 saves in 18 appearances...recorded four clean sheets on the year...held a 71.4 save percentage and a 1.53 goals against average.

BEFORE MANHATTAN: Was named to the English National Team as a high schooler, playing matches in Scotland and Estonia...was captain of the North Riding County U-18 team that finished second in the Association of Northern Counties Youth Competition...also competed in the Blackburn Rovers FC Academy.

PERSONAL: Born January 29, 1995...son of Stewart McDowall and Tricia Coates...has one sister, Holly...received the "Active York Fund for the Gifted" award which is aimed at helping young athletes achieve their full potential.
