2014 Junior Season
Notched a team-best four wins en route to posting a 4-1 record with 20 strikeouts, against 14 walks, with two saves and a 6.55 ERA, including 3.60 during MAAC play, over 34.1 innings of work … Also during league play, limited opposing hitters to a .235 average … Appeared in 19 games, making two starts … Did not allow an earned run in 11 of his 19 appearances … Closed the year strong, yielding just two runs in 12.1 innings of action over his final six games … Named MAAC Pitcher of the Week after striking out seven in 5.1 no-hit innings in 2-0 win over NYIT (3/12) … Picked up his second victory after striking out three and yielding just one run over 6.0 innings of four-hit ball against Fordham (4/2) … Earned his third win with 2.2 hitless innings in the series finale at Rider (4/27) … Notched his team-best fourth win while helping secure a doubleheader split with Siena (5/3), thanks to 4.2 scoreless innings of relief … Closed out the victory by facing the minimum over the final three frames … Recorded the final two outs in picking up the save at Villanova (5/11) … Followed that up with his second-straight save against Saint Peter’s, working the final inning of action … Fired 2.2 scoreless innings over a pair of appearances at Canisius 3/29; 3/31) … Tossed a scoreless frame at Marist (4/17) … Struck out two over 2.1 innings against Monmouth at the MAAC Championships. 

2013 Sophomore Season 
Led the team with 19 appearances ... made two starts ... earned the win against Columbia on March 27 with five shutout innings ... tossed two scoreless frames to gain the victory at Stony Brook on April 10 ... struck out three in 2 2/3 scoreless innings vs. Hofstra on April 16 ... struck out six of the eight batters he retired in 2 2/3 scoreless innings vs. Fairfield on May 12 ... threw two scoreless innings in game one at Siena on May 16 to gain his first save of the season.

2012 Freshman Season
Appeared in seven games, making three starts... worked 16 innings on the mound and posted six strikeouts... made collegiate debut at Florida Atlantic (2/25) coming out of the bullpen... earned first career start at Army (4/4) as the Jaspers ran off with a 18-11 victory... earned first collegiate victory against Columbia (4/18) posting four strikeouts and yielding only one earned run in the 9-2 triumph... pitched four innings in his third start of the year in a 8-5 victory at Albany.

Scholastic/Personal
Played three years at Division Avenue High School in Long Island under head coach Tom Tuttle... earned Second Team All State honors as a senior as selected by the New York State Sportswriters Association... also named All Long Island as a senior after posting a 10-1 record on the mound with a 1.71 ERA to help lead Division Avenue to the Class A Long Island Championship... as a junior posted a 5-1 record with 54 strikeouts and a 3.03 ERA to earn All-Conference honors... played summer ball with the Long Island Titans ... majoring in accounting ... the son of Anthony and Catherine Abbate ... has two older sisters, Tiffany and Colleen ... Great-grandfather Edward P. Grimes is a Medal of Honor recipient.
