Biography

2013: Appeared in 48 contests ... made 35 starts in left field, nine behind the plate and one as a designated hitter … ranked third on the squad with 23 runs batted in and fourth with 37 hits … posted two doubles in consecutive games against UMass and Iona ... went on a nine game hitting streak from March 29 until April 13 collecting ten hits with two doubles and two runs scored ... went 3-for-4 in game one of against Youngstown State on March 10 … had a pair of multi-hit games in back to back contests against Canisius and NYIT with three RBI in the NYIT matchup … cranked two doubles in two at-bats against Rider on April 13 ... went 2-for-4 and drove in a run in game one vs. Fairfield.

2012: Started 12 of 16 appearances after missing the first month of the season with an injury... hit .391, posted a .565 slugging percentage and .440 on-base percentage... split his appearances playing either catcher or designated hitter... registered four multi-hit games, including a four hit performance in a victory over Sacred Heart (4/10) posting two doubles and two RBI... delivered five multi-RBI efforts... recorded two RBI in each game of a doubleheader sweep of Columbia (4/18), in a victory over Siena (5/17) and in the MAAC Tournament versus Rider (5/24)... notched the game winning RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning in the first elimination game of the MAAC Championship round, earning a 5-4 win over Canisius (5/26) en route to Manhattan's second straight title... made four appearances in MAAC games during the regular-season, batting .600 with four RBI, a .700 slugging percentage and .600 on-base percentage... earned the start in the NCAA Tournament against South Carolina (6/1).

Made 22 appearances, starting in four games... hit .231 with three doubles and three RBI... posted a .346% slugging percentage and .259 on-base percentage... posted a career-high three hits, including two doubles and had two RBI in a 9-1 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson (3/30) at Van Cortlandt Park... recorded a RBI double at Columbia (4/13)... appeared in six MAAC games earning the start in a win against Fairfield (4/3)... posted a .980 fielding percentage.

BEFORE MANHATTAN: Three year varsity letterwinner at Brookfield High School for head coach Dan McKee... earned All-Southwest Conference honors and was Brookfield's Most Valuable Player as a junior and senior... hit .415 with three home runs and a .725 slugging percentage as a junior... posted a .370 batting average with two homers and a .500 slugging percentage his senior year... earned the team's Defensive Award in his final two season... committed just two errors... was a two year team captain for the Bobcats... played three years of football at Brookfield.

PERSONAL: Majoring in management... the son of Dennis and Eileen Slattery... has two sisters, Kelly who graduated from Columbia University, and Maureen who graduated from Johnson & Wales.
